WEST LEBANON — Funeral services for Sidney W. Adams, age 69, of Rossville, Ill., and a brother of Frank Adams of West Lebanon, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Methodist Church in Rossville. The Rev. William Butler and the Rev. Roger Brown officiated and burial, with the Young Funeral Home of Rossville in charge, was in Sunset Memorial Park, north of Danville, Ill. He was born June 21, 1895 at Hartford City, Ind., the son of Frank C. and Flora B. Graham Adams. He was a retired farmer and has been active in all branches of Masonry and was secretary of Rossville Lodge 527, F&AM. He was a past high priest of Morris Chapter 216, RAM; Rossville Chapter 386, OES; Danville Scottish Rite and Mohammed Shrine Temple of Peoria, Ill. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Spears-Duke Post 733, American Legion, and the Rossville Methodist Church. Surviving are: one sister, Mrs. Helen Harris of Danville, Ill.; two brothers, Frank of West Lebanon and Edgar of Rossville Rt. 2, and several nieces and nephews.
